Vertical
Tanning
Vertical tanning offers a guaranteed all over tan with no
white spots. Vertical tanning is more hygienic than the conventional
'lay down' beds as you are standing in a cubicle and not lying
down on a surface. The fast tan technology means that you
can spend from as little as 3 minutes per session and you
will notice results within your second or third visit.
Beach
Hut uses only the very best in tanning equipment the award
winning Symphony. The Symphony vertical tanners we use are
state of the art 48 tubes at 180 watts per tube.
Our
tubes are replaced before they reach the recommended maximum
usage time and once again they are only replaced with 'state
of the art' tanning tubes.
The
Symphony uses a unique thermostatically controlled intelligent
airflow system ensuring exceptional user comfort. The ergonomically
designed handles give the user maximum comfort and an Integrated
stereo sound system ensures that you can listen to your favourite
music whilst you tan.
Beach
Huts vertical units are enclosed in a cubicle, giving the
user much more room and comfort to apply creams and get dressed.
Anyone who uses vertical tanning units already will appreciate
the added benefits that this will provide. You also have the
choice of switching the air conditioning on or off depending
on your preference. Having your own private changing room
gives you more space, more privacy and above all, greater
comfort.
Each
room is well equipped with a supply of toiletries which are
free for your own use as are the refreshments that are always
on offer. We also allow you the user to be in control of how
you use your minutes. From within the cubicle the user can
activate the timer when THEY are ready to do so. They can
take a pause, have a cool drink or change their mind and reduce
how many minutes they wish to have per session without loosing
it on their record card.
Beware
of tanning units fitted with more than 48 tubes, tests prove
that 48 tubes with a mesh cover give the greatest performance
as the chart here illustrates (the green line indicates a
'mesh' cover in front of the tubes and the blue line indicates
a 'perspex' cover). As you can clearly see, peak performance
is given with 48 tubes, almost double the performance of a
68 tubed unit.
Question
- Do 180 watt units tan you better than 160 watts and is a
200 watt unit the best you can get?
Answer - Without getting
too technical the strength of the tube is determined by the
length of it. The longer the tube the more power required
to light it. In truth a shorter tube at 160 or 180 watts is
just the same performance wise as a longer one at 200 watts.
Question
- Some salon units feel hotter than others, is this a reflection
of performance?
Answer - A complaint you
often hear in a salon is that the bed is not hot enough or
it felt cold. The customer thinks that if the bed feels cool
it is not working. It is NOT the heat but the quality of the
tubes that tan you. Have you ever been on a skiing holiday
or do you know of someone that has? If so then you will know
that it is easy to come back looking tanned despite the cool
temperatures, it is the UVA and UVB that tans you, not the
heat.
